The single volume has silver gilded edges, red ribbon marker bound in, and signed limitation page. Fifty original illustrations by Alan Lee thru the book. You can follow how the movies were first visualized by Lee, and carried thru by Peter Jackson, with Lee's assistance throughout the movie's production. A scarce book, again one of only 250 produced. The cloth of the book is clean and unmarked, with no wear to the edges, and the leather is unmarked, clean and bright. The Tolkien monogram is clean and bright on both book and slipcase. The slipcase shows some minor wear to the edges, with a few loose strings from the edges on the top of the case. The text block and all illustrations are clean and bright, no signatures or writing whatsoever. A beautiful, highly collectable Signed Limited Numbered Edition for the Tolkien collector.
