The Hobbit Limited Edition Collectors' Box, published by Harper Collins in 2000. The Boxed set contains a copy of the Hobbit, as well as 8 postcards depicting the maps, color illustrations and the dustjacket from the book. Also included is a CD of J.R.R. Tolkien reading an excerpt from The Riddle scene, an absolutely wonderful experience to hear the author's own voice reading the classic tale. Included as well is a full color version of the Wilderland map, re-created by the artist John Howe, and accompanied by an illustrated booklet by Brian Sibley, still sealed in shrinkwrap. Also included an ad flyer for the "Epic adventure motion picture trilogy beginning December 2001", probably picked up at time of purchase. A wonderful collection for the Tolkien enthusiast. One bump to the outer edge of the box, shown in photo. Very scarce in the 1st impression. Digital photo's available, inquire if interested. Other Tolkien books available, include both the UK and US editions, original cloth bindings, custom fine bindings, and Signed/Numbered/Limited Editions.
