The set is all original cloth with the correct original dustjackets. The dustjackets are all in Near Fine/Very Good Plus condition, with bright colors and only the slightest fading to the spines, each with a few chips and minor loss to the edges. No foxing or offsetting to the endpapers, as is so often found. All the rest of the pages, and edges are clean and crisp. Previous owners name in The Two Towers. Gilt to the spines is clean and bright. The dustjackets exhibit all the correct issue points for the books, including the correct price, and color combination. There is a small booksellers sticker on the lower back panel of the Return of the Kings dustjacket, seperate photo included. The books are tight and clean without foxing, fading, and only The Fellowship is price clipped. Besides being a truly beautiful looking set and being one of the last First Editions printed, this set is very collectable. The original maps are present in all three volumes, no extra folds or tears noted. Further digital images can be supplied on request. Other Tolkien books available, include both the UK and US editions, original cloth bindings, custom fine bindings, and Signed/Numbered/Limited Editions.
