The black cloth boards feature Tolkien's original "Ring & Eye" device stamped in color. Makes a fantastic looking set. The books are all in Near Fine condition, with the original Near Fine dustjackets, without any wear and tear noted. No names or writing or foxing whatsoever to the books. The dustjackets show no rubbing or loss, are priced and not clipped, and none have the blindstamp on the rear boards, meaning these are the Trade Edition. The edges of the books are unmarked and clean, not foxed. The set is housed in the original publishers slipcase with a little minor rubbing to the edges along with some light scuffs on the top and bottom.
